We all love pirates!
Pirates of the caribbean is nice, guys, but not many of you probably knows some cinematic milestones as “the daughter of captain morgan” or “il corsaro nero” or my favourite “the pirates of penzance”!
I have grown up with those movies; my favourite disney movie ever is “trasure planet” (can’t watch it without crying like the old romantic sop i am) and i love the classic stevenson book even more.
In short, i love pirates!
I love them so much i’m about to marry one, i love them because they represent all i have followed all my life: freedom and the sea.
I have reached both; i live in Genova, the most beautiful and sailor-y city of italy, after leaving a somewhat scattered and adventurous life amongst the mists of the Milanese hinterland, where i was born in the eighties and attended three different art schools, frequented every theatre in the city, a crazy comics school where i met my teachers (and spent countless detention hours in the library) and the most hidden and romantic places of the city. And there i met artists, poets and homeless people, and a whole lot of unwholesome companies. I haven’t lost the knack of surrounding myself with people out of the ordinary, and with the passing of the years i have surrounded myself of great friends which now are my life and my crew, without which i would not be what i am now. Thanks to those friendships this project is born, telling tales of my life’s greatest love.
